Forecast for Sunday, December 1
Our long dry spell is coming to an end, as a ridge of high pressure over the Northwest is finally breaking up, opening the door to colder, and snow conditions for the second half of the weekend.
Stormy conditions are expected to develop Saturday night into Sunday, especially at the higher elevations. If you’re hunting into Sunday be prepared for significant snow on those roads and trails, especially above 4,000 feet. We’re also expecting temperatures to drop back into the teens and twenties, so make sure you’re geared up properly for the change, and have your “escape route” planned out in advance. Above all, remember to file a “marker” with someone not in the backcountry so they know your whereabouts and plans as this change takes place.
